This Shinkansen route primarily travels the Setouchi seacoast, rooted in the concept of Gearing up to Board the “Grand Rail” Line. Reflecting the theme of “Journey to Setouchi,” the blue design of the three cars reflects the elegant image of the surrounding seas. On this occasion, a large collection of ONE PIECE characters, focused on the Straw Hat Crew with Luffy at the fore, is portrayed with a stroke of renewed originality expressly for this project.
Riding the Shinkansen is a colorful lineup of assorted pirate types!

The Shinkansen of Monkey D. Luffy, star of ONE PIECE. On this, the third train in the series, the hero Luffy makes his debut. A straw hat, the defining symbol of Luffy, is incorporated into the train car design and color. This revives the ONE PIECE saga told to date, with Luffy cast in a rich range of roles!
